Research activity

From a very general perspective, what actually motivates my research activity is trying to understand the close connections between the geometry of deterministic or random targets illuminated by an incident wave and the geometry of the scattered field. In this large issue, I mainly focus upon the interaction between electromagnetic waves and sea surfaces. The main purpose of this research activity is to improve remote sensing systems (radar for instance) dedicated to marine environments.

This scientific activity embraces different academic scientific fields among which stand out:

  1. Mathematics for electromagnetic modeling (numerical and analytical approaches).
  2. Propagation in complex and stochastic media (moving boundaries,...).
  3. Field theory and quantum technology.
  4. Sea waves modeling.
